Central to good health is a fully functioning nervous system. The brain, the spinal cord and all the nerves control all the functions of our bodies. One of the functions of the nervous system is to process the stresses of daily life. Usually the nervous system takes care of this and we do not even notice.

But repetitive exposure to stresses - physical, mental, or environmental, can overload the nervous system. As a result, muscles start to get tight and stiff, spinal joints get out of balance and irritations occur in the nervous system, creating more tightness and tension in the muscles. And the cycle continues: stress to the nerves, tight and tense muscles, spinal joints out of balance, and so on. Ultimately this causes corrupted signals in the nervous system, affecting the coordination and activation of spinal muscles.

Chiropractic adjustments help to restore spinal mobility and improve nervous system function. This gives our bodies an improved ability to be and stay healthy. Chiropractic adjustments can be performed safely and effectively, particularly with the use of the Activator Method Chiropractic Technique.

A recent paper published in Scientific Reports, a journal publication of Nature, indicates that Chiropractic adjustments with the Activator V® adjusting instrument may represent a promising alternative therapy for the treatment of osteoarthritis.
Good health has multiple factors: diet, exercise, sleep, mental wellness, and social wellness all plays a part in our health. And a healthy, interference free nervous system is an important factor too.
